According to the Surrogacy Act, an interested woman can give birth to a child for an interested couple and after birth, gives the child to that couple.

All Indian married childless couples will get the benefit of Surrogacy Act. Couples who want to get the benefit of surrogacy will have to give the Certificate of Infertility within 90 days. There is also a provision of jail for up to 10 years and a fine of Rs 10 lakh for violating the rule.
